LEINSTER HAVE CONFIRMED that Marty Moore will miss Ireland’s 6 Nations campaign with a hamstring tear.
The 24-year old, who missed the World Cup with a broken metatarsal, returned to action with the province in October and has featured more than a dozen times since.
However, he was forced off with a leg injury after 62 minutes of his side’s heavy defeat to Wasps at the weekend.
This morning it was revealed that the tight-head — who may still leave the province at the end of the season — picked up a grade 2 tear and is expected to be out for between six to eight weeks meaning he will miss Ireland’s 6 Nations campaign.

He had been expected to act as understudy to Mike Ross during Ireland’s bid to win three titles in a row. Ross is expected to miss the opening two games with a hamstring injury of his own.
